(7-2) Handling a Separate-type Fuel Filter (B-b)

When installing a FO tank different from those listed in Option Menu, for some reason,

proceed as

started below, then check for air vent in FO pipe, restarting, continuance of stable operation, safety, etc.

1. Separate type (without fuel feed pump spec)

A. Fuel strainer………………Fit in oil filter port of FO tank. (100-150 mesh)

B. FO filter (114250-55500).. Install anywhere between tank and fuel injection pump.

C. Piping

(a) Air vent: Automatic air vent is impossible with a different FO tanks.

(b) Draw piece not required; it is not operative.

2. With fuel feed pump spec

A. Fuel strainer…………..Fit in at the front of fuel feed pump (B-e-1). (Below 100 mesh)

B. FO filter (B-d-2)……...Secure to the cylinder head with bracket. (Bracket for L100 is

not specified yet)

C. Piping

a) Fuel feed pump is operated. Automatic air vent is possible.

b) Draw piece is not required.

c) FO return pipe must be higher than the highest fuel oil level of FO tank. (If not,

fuel oil may be supplied through the FO return pipe, without passing through

the filter)
